Replica of ref.18 pattern tile from the former Sacavém Factory

Replica of half-embossing glazed tile reference 18, an ancient piece from the former Sacavém Factory. Produced in Portugal in a meticulous and totally manual way.

All the process is developed having the original tile as a base. From there, a prototype is created, a mould is executed and a colour study of the glazes is done, until finally accomplishing a result as faithful as possible to the original piece. In this case, the tiles produced were used on the restoration of a facade.

This is an example of a possible work to be done. The same process can be developed for different types of tiles on stencil or manual painting and with or without embossing.
